Ramadan

A calorie tracker that follows the fast

Most trackers keep a Western meal grid in Ramadan. Adaptin collapses the supplement schedule into suhoor and iftar, parks iron at suhoor without tea, and calcium at iftar — then notifies on that clock.

Ramadan is not “skip lunch.” It is two nutrient windows with a caffeine-and-tannin problem at both ends: tea at suhoor next to iron, tea at iftar next to more iron, calcium stacked on everything.

What the mode changes

  • Iron → suhoor, without tea. The schedule generator parks iron in the pre-dawn window and keeps tannin drinks out of the absorption slot.
  • Calcium → iftar. Separated from the iron dose so they do not cancel.
  • Notifications follow the fast — not a leftover 8:00 AM weekday pill reminder.
  • Caffeine still respects the six-hours-before-sleep cap on whatever sleep time you set.

Food logging stays the same: Arabic search, koshary and dates and qamar al-din, offline on the metro home. The calorie target still adapts from weight and intake; fasting days are just days with a different clock.
